I have been drinking water exclusively for 18 months now. It is impossible to gauge what if anything it has changed in my body. On the other hand it is well documented what sugary and carbonated beverages do to it. Water seems to be neutral, in the sense that it does no harm while keeping you hydrated. All other options are not neutral in that sense.
